Heyrose Golf Club – Friday 18th June 2010

This year the Captain’s Day out was enjoyed by all 20 players, despite a brief rain shower during and just after lunch.  The overall winner was Colin White who finished the day on a total of 55 Stableford points for the 27 holes, closely followed by Neil Smith also on 55 points.  Colin took the overall prize by virtue of his better 18 hole score of 41 points.

Colin picked up the Ronnie Bruce Memorial Trophy and this was a popular win, in view of Colin’s close friendship with Ronnie for a number of years.

It was a fabulous day marred only by England’s dismal performance in the World Cup against Algeria!
